During certain upgrades (for example, CISC-to-RISC migration), before all user libraries and objects have been migrated from the old OS/400 system to the new OS/400 system, you may experience some difficulty signing on. When you type your user profile and password, the system ends your job.
If another user can sign on and does WRKUSRJOB for the profile of the user for which the sign-on fails, there are typically job failing messages in the job log (spooled file) in output queue QEZJOBLOG. This job log will have one of the following messages:
Message ID - Detail Reason
CPF1128 - Current library xxx not found Current library specified in user's profile does not exist.
CPF9810 - Library xxx not found Library specified for the menu does not exist.
CPF9801 - Object xxx in library yy not found Menu object (specified in user profile) does not exist.
MCH3401 - Cannot resolve to object xxx ... Initial program or its library does not exist.
The likely reason for an object or library specified in the user's profile not existing is that the library or object has not been restored to the system. Signon allows bypassing that library or object.
Providing the following parameters on the sign-on screen together with correct user profile and password generally resolves the problem. Specify the following values:
User . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Password . . . . . . . . . . . .
Program/procedure . . . . . . . . *NONE
Menu . . . . . . . . . . . . . . MAIN
Current library . . . . . . . . . QGPL
If the user profile QSECOFR has been disabled, QSECOFR can sign on the console for all currently supported releases.
